To improve the situation, Cumulus Data has taken the first step, by wrapping its 475- megawatt, zero-carbon Susquehanna data center campus in Pennsylvania. It would power TeraWulf, a Bitcoin mining company. The data centers will be directly connected to the facility, without worrying about electric transmission. Cryptocurrency mining is a polluting issue, Ethereum has taken steps to improve its carbon footprint, but Bitcoin is not doing much.
