Latest News Beeple’s digital NFT art sold for $60.25 million By AtoZcrypto Posted on March 15, 2021 2 min read 0 0 93 Digital art has made a solid name for itself in recent years. Beeple is one of the pioneers of digital art, and perhaps, the best among the best. In a recent art sale auction, he sold his 5000-day collection for a stupendous $60.25 million, and to date, it is the highest price ever. The premium price of this collection is calculated as $9 million. The number of bids it received for this art alone? More than 350. The collection in question is titled Everydays: The First 5000 Days. It consists of art created every day by the artist for 14 years. It is an example of art based on the non-fungible token (NFT). Christie, a British auction house is responsible for arranging the auction and the sale, in partnership with MarkersPlace. What is MarkersPlace? Basically, it’s a marketplace for NFT enthusiasts. By partnering up with Christie’s, it introduced the concept of NFT in the artist community, which is, in itself, a historic moment. Experts believe that this will not be the last time we will see major use of these tokens, and we certainly agree.
