Bitcoin Latest News Crypto gift cards: A reality in Switzerland By AtoZcrypto Posted on March 12, 2021 2 min read 0 0 297 Merchants around the world have started incorporating cryptocurrency into the mainstream. Swiss merchants are no exception. They have launched Bitcoin gift cards and vouchers to encourage people to participate in cryptocurrency trading. This has marked a new era for the country’s cryptocurrency community. Popular names would include Manor (largest departmental store in Switzerland), a Valora (it will distribute them from 1st April). Manor has partnered with Värdex Suisse, a Switzerland-based cryptocurrency firm, a subsidiary of the exchange, Bitcoin Suisse, and the project is named Cryptonow. This voucher will act as digital gold, according to Värdex’s Head of Operations, Simon Grylka. Also, the entire procedure of using this voucher will be incredibly easy. It will support different values ($107-$535). This move is incredibly important, as the crypto industry is booming in the country right now. Of course, there are some limitations to the voucher’s usage. For now, people can redeem these vouchers from an exchange or sell the amount loaded in it through the ATMs. There are some charges associated with these vouchers, however, this is still a novelty act. Gift cards are usually popular among peer-to-peer traders who are located in areas with minimal infrastructural support.
