Mobile Streams plc (LON: MOS), the global mobile content retailer who earlier in the year partnered with Electroneum, today announced an agreement with BSNL, India’s state owned telecommunications company for a potential direct billing connection to over 100 million customers.

Mobile Streams formed its Indian subsidiary, Mobile Streams India Private Limited in 2015 and is currently providing downloadable and online versions of their games store, mobilegaming.com.

This represents the fourth billing connection in India for Mobile Streams and provides an opportunity to grow the active subscriber base.

Simon Buckingham, CEO of Mobile Streams said:

“We welcome the opportunity to partner with India’s longest established communication service provider. The mobile games industry in India has great potential and we are pleased to connect with BSNL’s 100 million subscribers.”

Once the technical integration with the carrier’s network has been completed, these consumers now will have the ability to sign up for the Company’s mobilegaming.com download and online games subscription services and charge that service conveniently to their mobile account.

This is the fifth direct carrier billing agreement that the Company’s local Indian subsidiary has signed giving it a total potential reach of over 850 million customers.

Earlier in year the company announced a partnership with Electroneum (ETN), a cryptocurrency designed from the ground up for mass adoption and enabling a $3tn opportunity. The partnership which is one of ETN’s many, will allow Mobiles Streams customers an option to generate cryptocurrency which can then be used to make online purchases such as games, or, exchanged for standard currency and offset mobile bills. In addition, Mobile Streams will earn revenue in line with customers” rewards.

Taylor Gorman of Electroneum said at the time:

“We are looking forward to the partnership with Mobile Streams, promoting the installation and use of our cryptocurrency within their platforms.”
