Meta’s Brazil Mission: Trademarking Crypto Services

Meta filed for trademark registration with the Brazilian government officials (Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property) on January 25th. The company will create BTC & crypto-related services, including wallets, exchanges, and such entities.

Meta will develop and implement third-party verification protocols for cryptocurrency-related transactions, not limited to Bitcoins.

Meta is currently awaiting approval for the registration and expecting massive opposition. But it will power ahead and begin the operations shortly.
