Visa now owns a CryptoPunk: NFT news

Visa has now acquired a digital pixelation of a CryptoPunk (by investing $150,000). You can say that is a massive splurge on the NFT workspace (Non-fungible Tokens). Cuy Sheffield describes the reason behind Visa’s investment.

He said if Visa wanted to expand on this field, it would require proper knowledge, and how to leverage it. He also mentioned that Visa understands the appeal of this token in the gaming, and the music industry, and plans to use that to your advantage.

The CryptoPunk in question is CryptoPunk 7610, a female figure with clown green eyes, wearing a Mohawk and lipstick.

This investment is another addition to Visa’s initiatives in the cryptocurrency sector. The cryptocurrency-supported credit and debit cards saw humongous usage this year. And the NFT market saw equal trajectory, and that’s why Visa dipped its feet in it.
