LG Electronics to Step Up Their NFT and Blockchain Game

LG Electronics is a household name when it comes to electronic products, and it has delivered some incredible inventions. But now, it is considering expanding its business, and incorporating cryptocurrencies and Blockchain under its services. From now on, the company will sell Blockchain-based software and participate in selling and brokering cryptocurrencies. But it is not yet clear if LG will create a crypto exchange for its own.

But the market began speculating when Bithumb CEO Heo Baek-young mentioned that his company is working with a large brand to bring new NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) into the marketplace. The large brand in question is in fact, LG Electronics.

Given crypto users, LG is at the forefront of NFT adoption, working with Kakao’s ground X to bring NFT-enabled smart TVs. It has also partnered up with Seoul Auction Blue to bring out more NFT-based projects.

Not only LG, but other South Korean companies like Samsung are also planning to bring NFT-based smart TVs in the market, and a store in the Decentraland metaverse. As the new President Yoon Suk-yeol is pro-crypto, we expect to see more advancements from the industry.
