Reddit Sees Record Sales of NFT Avatars

Reddit has recently launched Blockchain-based avatars whose sales figure is skyrocketing on the NFT marketplace OpenSea. Reddit jumped into the world of NFTs on July 2022. The avatars are available since August and have generated thousands of dollars. If you are a Reddit user, you can purchase these avatars using the platform’s cryptocurrency wallet, Vault, or with credit and debit cards.

These avatars are developed by minted on the Polygon Blockchain by independent artists. OpenSea supports this network, along with Ethereum, Klaytn, and Solana blockchain networks. But OpenSea is selling them at a premium price point.  Those within the range of $5 to $49 are still available, but avatars priced more than $50 are sold out. These are two specific collections you must know of, The Senses x Reddit Collectible Avatars and Foustlings x Reddit Collectible Avatars. 

Since 2020, 1,300 The Senses NFT has been sold and generated total revenue of $25,000, compared to The Mouth #12 sold for $333. 1,800 Foustlings NFTs are listed on the platform with a total volume of 9.6 Polygon-bridged ETH. The Natsukashii Celestial Assembly and Wearing Your Emotions collections are beginning to see trading action.
