Dubai is an emerging crypto hub in the Middle East, and the plan is to make headspace in the top 10 Metaverse economies of the world. The news was first released yesterday on Emergency News Agency, with statements from the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. His goal is to make Dubai a global tech capital using AI (Artificial Intelligence), and Web3. This aligns with the objectives of the United Arab Emirates AI Strategy of becoming global leaders in futuristic technologies. This plan is to include research and development (R&D), collaborations with different collaborators, and incorporating accelerators and incubators to attract investors and content creators both nationally and internationally. The fields included in this strategy are tourism, education, retail, remote work, healthcare, and the legal sector, using extended reality, augmented reality, virtual reality, mixed reality, and digital twins. It also includes the deployment of 5G networks and edge computing for data collection and storage and processing. According to reports, VR and AR have created 6,700 jobs, worth $500 million for the UAE economy.
